Derek Mason says he has to do a better job after Vandy’s loss to Kentucky

Vanderbilt couldn’t find much offense yesterday in Lexington in a disappointing 20-13 loss to Kentucky. With the loss Vandy moves to 2-4 on the year and will have a hard time finding four wins down the stretch to get bowl eligible.

Yesterday in the post-game press conference Mason took much of the blame telling reporters that he needed to do a better job.

Ralph Webb, who leads the SEC in rushing yards left the game in the second half with an injury. It’s not known how badly he is hurt but the Dores will need him next week when they travel to Athens to play Georgia.

This year has turned out to be very disappointing for Commodore fans who thought that this was going to be a year the team went bowling. But after blowing a double digit lead to South Carolina in week one then getting blown at Georgia Tech two weeks later it’s looking like this could be a long year for Derek Mason and his squad.
