Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara is headed to the NFL. Kamara thanked UT fans on Twitter after the team’s Music City Bowl victory on Friday.
It's been a great 2 years on Rocky Top! I love you all and appreciate the many memories. Go Vols!! 🔶🔶🔶🔶

Shortly after the tweet Kamara retweeted a picture of himself with his new management team Vayner Sports.

Vayner Sports is a smaller management firm that also represents his Tennessee teammate Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Broncos center Matt Paradis
Coming into the 2016 season Kamara was listed behind Jalen Hurd on the Vol’s depth chart. Hurd got into it with coach Butch Jones and was benched against Georgia and Kamara became the starting running back. Against Texas A&M the following week Kamara showed out with 127 yards rushing and 161 yards receiving with three touchdowns. In his last three regular games against Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt he scored two TDs and averaged over 100 all purpose yards in each game. Against Nebraska in the bowl game Kamara only had 31 yards rushing on 7 carries. However, he was a weapon out of the backfield with 46 yards receiving on 7 receptions.
Kamara is thought to be a second round pick at best but could slide into the middle rounds due to the abundance of running backs in the draft. He will get a chance to show his stuff at the Vol’s Pro Day in March. NFL Combine invitations haven’t been announced but Kamara will likely get a chance to impress scouts in Indianapolis in February.
